On November 9, St. Mary of Lourdes will be kicking off their first Faith & Family Night, a time for families of the parish to gather together to explore a faith topic and ways to celebrate it at home. Immediately following the 4:30pm Mass, families will enjoy a simple dinner before moving into the presentation and activities for the evening.
Our first gathering focusses on Advent. Families will have a chance to explore the meaning of the Advent wreath and to create one for their home. A second station will be exploring and creating a Jesse Tree to help them journey through scripture during the Advent season. The third and final station has families looking to the days following Christmas and how they can celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas.
There is a $15 per family registration fee that covers dinner for the entire family and all supplies for the various stations. This can be paid by dropping an envelope into the collection basket marked “Faith and Family Night” along with the registration form if it has not already been emailed to Ileen.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 1 for our next Faith and Family Night.
